More images of Dad, while I am at it…

While I am still in reminiscing mode, I thought I would add some more nuggets to sort of complete that storyline. There are, of course, many more images and incidents galore that I can dig out of memory, but these are a few special visuals I really want to share.

Shortly after we were married...you see here Me, dad, Rahul, Mummy and Amamma. How young we all look....it astonishes me to see how much time has gone by, it feels like yesterday...

The three of us in the fronnt lawn of the house in SGPGI Lucknow. I must have been in Class 9 or so...many happy memories of life on that campus, friends, parties, fights, games....

News item about his book release. It's true. Whenever I asked him of he was scared to be dying he denied it saying he has achieved all he wanted to and had lived a beautiful life....nothing to be sad about!

About ramblinginthecity

I am an architect and urban planner, a writer and an aspiring artist. I love expressing myself and feel strongly that cities should have spaces for everyone--rich, poor, young, old, healthy and sick, happy or depressed--we all need to work towards making our cities liveable and lovable communities.

  1. Mukta, you are precious, its amazing that I know you better now that I did back in SPA when we spent 5 yrears beside each other. The father-daughter bond is so incredibly important. It is the formative basis for a young girl for her future choice in a spouse. I see this with my two girls, if they see their dad treat me as a responsible, independant woman whose decisions he respects, they will expect this of their men. It is so easy to see why you were such a confident young lady at 18 compared to some others, you had great role models. I hope my kids grow up emotionally smart and with strong independant spirit.
And by the way, from your pictures, you haven’t aged in the last 10 years, not even like wine ;-).

  2. Echo Tina’s sentiment about knowing you better now than in SPA…. and am so glad for it! 🙂
